Newton Aycliffe Police Update

🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗧𝗢𝗡 𝗔𝗬𝗖𝗟𝗜𝗙𝗙𝗘 𝗣𝗢𝗟𝗜𝗖𝗘 𝗨𝗣𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 🚨
 

Evening, here’s an overview of what we have been up to over the past week or so;

👮 On Saturday October 4th, a male and a female were both arrested on suspicion of assault, following a domestic related incident at an address.

🚔 On Sunday October 5th, a female was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence, after a report of a vehicle driving erratically in School Aycliffe.

🧑‍⚖️ On Monday 6th October, a male was arrested for failing to appear at court.

🤝 On Tuesday 7th October, PCSOs attended the local Pubwatch meeting.
 

🧑‍🏫 Also on Tuesday, PCSOs visited Aycliffe Village Primary School to speak to Year 6 around Internet Safety and Bullying.
 

🛩️ On Wednesday 8th October, our drone assisted in helping locate a male youth who had been riding on a stolen bike and he was subsequently arrested.

👮‍♀️ On Thursday 9th October, PCSOs located a male who was wanted for burglary in the Norfolk area and he was subsequently arrested.

🚨 Also on Thursday, two male youths were arrested on suspicion of criminal damage and assault following an incident in Silverdale Place.

🔐 On Saturday 11th October, a male and female were both arrested on suspicion of an assault. Both remain in custody.

🚴 Officers have been out and about on e-Bike patrols.

🔨 Neighbourhood PCSOs assisted colleagues at Darlington with dismantling a large scale cannabis grow.

🛒 A prolific shoplifter who had been involved in five thefts over the past week has been arrested by Neighbourhood Officers. The male was charged with these offences and remanded in prison.

🔜 PCSO Fotheringham will be at Woodham Academy and Greenfield School this week, giving talks to students on off-road bikes and the dangers of using them.
